Crafted – Exhibition at the Royal Academy

March 23rd, 2014

We’re delighted to announce that we have been selected for the 2014 Crafted mentoring programme, which kicks off with a showcase at the Royal Academy in April. Crafted was established in 2007 by Walpole British Luxury in association with Arts & Business, with the goal of offering one-to-one mentorship for people whose businesses rely on craftsmanship.

Founded by Guy Salter, Crafted’s aim is to nurture a sense of entrepreneurship among its artisans by pairing them with representatives from established brands.

The Royal Academy showcase will bring together the work of past alumni alongside the nine designers and makers selected for this years programme. The showcase will provide a glimpse into the inner workings of Britain’s finest craft businesses – from knitwear and jewellery to lapidary and glass blowing. Held in association with Vacheron Constantin, one of the world’s oldest and most respected manufacturers of luxury Swiss timepieces, the showcase is free of charge to visit and open to all. We’ll be exhibiting some of our recent work including pieces from our new ceiling at Great Fulford.
